About the Author:
Promise has a
wide array of experience, from art to computer programming
and business. She graduated Dean’s List in the field of
accounting and currently is a Software Configuration
Manager in the computer software industry. Her
clairaudient abilities began in her childhood and quickly
were dismissed out of fear, like so many others do. In the
teenage years her focus was on several competitive sports;
roller skating as well as showing Saddlebred horses. In
the late 80’s, her first loving wake up call arrived on
the scene. Promise credits her son for lovingly pointing
the way. He was followed closely by his sister, who came
in full force – seeing, hearing, remembering and most
certainly talking about it, which caused questions and
confusion as well as many other challenges and blessings.
This set into motion a seek-and-find mission for Spirit
which became the focus by the mid 90’s. The desire to
understand and assist these free spirits set her on a
journey to find answers and in that journey she has met
countless loving individuals who have offered guidance,
love and insight. Promise credits her spiritual growth in
large part to these two intuitive children who have been
wonderful catalyst for Spirit. She has since become an
USUI Reiki Master and works with Reiki, Acu-Tuning and
other guided healing techniques as well as channeling. Sacred
Passage ~ Hidden Treasures, Journey Into the Sacred
Entrance Long Forgotten, her first book was published

Where Will
Your Heart Lead You?
an
excerpt from Sacred Passage~Hidden Treasures.
A season of
lights, how appropriate are those words as we enter into the
HeartLight and LoveLight energies of the holidays? I
believe it has been a year that has expanded our minds and
hearts. A year that's been filled with emotions and
challenged us to rise to best of self. A year of
wonderful, transformational growth and as I began to seek
something to share for the editorial in a year such as this,
nothing seemed to be right except a reminder of the choice and
focus which each of us have in the coming new year and all the
days to come. I pondered this thought and a question from
years ago came to mind and I'd like to share a poem that
includes that question. River asked me, "Where has
your heart lead you, Promise… and where will it lead
you?"
Where will your heart
lead you?
To sit in
silence and listen to the drum within and only come to realize
that the lesson and the gift is in not only the heartbeat but the
spaces between.
To walk on
the wind and to realize that the beauty of it all is the change
and
the freedom to be. It
is an excellent example of how to follow your heart's desires.
To become
one with the river and learn what the water so graciously teaches.
To hear her song and learn to sing it; to feel it and to
become it.
To stand on
the plains, on a beach or in a meadow where the earth meets the
sky. Where the
horizon extends forever and realize just how much of your heart is
out there and not within.
To feel the
spirit in the sounds of the buffalo or horses running across the
sacred lands and join their wild freedom and race the winds.
To be one
with the hawk or the eagle on the wind and join the sacred dance.
To connect
with your brothers and sisters as the whales and dolphins and to
know true companionship and relations.
To get lost
in a sacred fire and to dance within the flames of your own soul
. To
actually see what is within and accept it with humbleness,
gentleness and unconditional love
.
To fly past
the rooftops, beyond the sycamores and redwoods, beyond the clouds
and their breeze, beyond the moon on to Kiss the Sun.
To enter a
sacred wheel
and
ask all relations to join you in prayer
and
realize there is no separation.
For failure is everyone's failure and success is everyone's
success. For all are part of the sacred wheel with divine purpose
.
To allow
yourself to love in the "Now"… knowing there is no
promises for tomorrow and no guarantees from yesterday.
Simply hold the moment and only love.
To be the
calm before and after the storm only to realize you were the storm
as well.
To feel the
earth under your feet and know what it is like to lie down and be
wrapped up in her sheltering arms.
To understand just how unconditional and freely she gives
to all.
To find the
deepest pains and sorrows within the heart and then realize they
are truly your greatest strengths and joys.
To look into
another's eyes and see him, you and the universe within.
What a wonderful window and few realize it is even there.
You should lose yourself there more often.
To step
through the doorway into your past and allow yourself to remember.
To learn and be reminded of the treasures wrapped up there.
To look in a
mirror and see all your weaknesses and call them strengths.
To get on
your knees for there is power in prayer
from
the heart.
To give,
give and give and realize that there is always more for there is
indeed abundance.
To join the
standing ones and find your roots and then reach for the sun and
grow.
To watch
each sunrise with prayer
smoke
rising to the heavens and then to close it with the sunset and
prayers of gratitude and thanksgiving.
To open your
mind and heart to the lessons
all
relations are here to teach.
The winged, finned, the ones that crawl, the plants and the
four and two legged. All
relations, the guardians
, spirits, angels and all divine beings of light.
To wait
patiently in silence…waiting for your heart to speak.
To be brave
and courageous enough to lose all control
. To
listen and follow your heart and know that all is divine and allow
yourself the freedom to just be.
To
understand that the elders are not just ones with age but come in
all, especially from the hearts of our youth.
To
understand that if you give to the heart, what the heart
desires…all else will come.
To give
everything away from the deepest depths of your soul
with
no strings or preconceptions and ask, "His Will Be
Done."
So now I
will ask you, "Where
will your heart lead you?"

My wish for
each of you is to allow gentleness
with
self and the heartfelt desire to seek within yourself, your truth.
I wish you could see your souls from our perspective as the
glittering, astounding multiple facets, like a shimmering diamond
with beautiful cuts and angles of light.
However, as you embrace and integrate
your
experiences and find your truths the facets merge and transform
into a beautiful iridescent bubble of unified crystal clear light.
The solidity, peace and well-being felt from such an
integration will leave you with the truest sense of the
breathtaking being of light
you
truly are.
