A
Light Thanksgiving Thought
This could be an especially brilliant
season of Thanksgiving.
In an art demonstration, just recently, the artist asked us to
notice the contrasting light of the Shadowy Cove. We all peered
through squares of cardboard, as though looking through a camera
lens and there, like magic, became an objective view of light and
darkness.
I'm not sure if the artist was aware of the philosophic message
she taught that day,
but it became quite apparent that the more the darkness appeared,
the greater the light.
In contrast, I asked myself in the darkness of this terrorist
season, will we allow the cold shadows to over ride the warmth and
brilliance of the things we hold dear?
As I look back to my fore fathers who followed the lamps of their
hearts in spite of grueling times, I learn, we must move on.
Despite the odds, they raised their cups in triumphant renewal and
celebration on that first Thanksgiving.
If these sad and senseless times must have a purpose, let it serve
to remind us of all the magical hope we share in the helping hands
and shining hearts of each other.
Let us take the contrasting images of darkness and hate and have
them set the balancing backdrop for the treasure of light in each
others eyes. Together, hand in hand, we always bounce back to our
family and friends with healing, basic truths and loving lessons
to share and nurture.
To all of you who reach out and love, I respectfully place you
among the many things I give thanks and blessings for. Without you
the world would be a darker place.
Let us light the candles of love and forgiveness together at our
thanksgiving table, burning away the dark shadows of judgment and
ignorance, bringing in an especially brilliant centerpiece of
appreciation for one another.

Cherish the finer things. Encourage the goodness in our children.
They are the future's harvest of strength. In the light of the
darkness, let us give thanks and celebrate the blessings of an
especially brilliant season of Thanksgiving.
Wishing you blessings of Love, insight, enlightenment and
the sense to choose happiness!
Blessing...
