EMPATHY

In the quiet of the night,
I ponder.
In the center of my light,
I wonder.   
I’ve asked that all releases come,  
That all suffering and pain be gone.  
Awareness shines.  
But, longing stays,  
The thoughts and feelings of different days;  
The pond, the stream, the hill, the trail  
Hear sounds of flight -  
Or silent stories from owl’s tale.  
I feel her pain,  
I feel his too,  
It’s a magic carpet ride between the few.   
They live with veils shading feeling.   
They live with blind and desperate reeling.   
Can I feel it and let it go?  
 That’s the test.  
 I’m aware, you know.

 About the Author:
Constance d’Angelis is an attorney, arbitrator, author, nationally certified and licensed massage therapist, Reiki Master, speaker, and workshop leader.  Her avocation is vibrational healing.
