While getting the
'feel' of a new set of colored pencils that you could use water
and a brush to extend the medium, I was fooling around with a
female face and really had no plan but to see what the pencils
would 'do'. As the 'doodling' continued it became obvious
that something was taking shape so-o-o, I just gave into to
whatever wanted to BE. This is the refined drawing of the very
rudimentary first one ....It ended up being a symbolic picture of
the encounter of Mary with the spirit of GOD . The Dove carrying
the tender, young olive branch of Peace overshadowing the girl as
she receives the 'Rose of Sharon'. At the Gift of this, I
was amazed for it was not planned....I say Thank You, Lord for
the GIFT of Gifts is the Love we celebrate in the upcoming
Christmas season....
Please enjoy and God Bless each of You...

Overshadowing of Mary

About the Author:
We all have the need to pray...(Whether we choose to exercise it or
not) and it sometimes 'seems' that there is no one listening. Not true! We are a
very impatient species and enter this world with balled fists and,
hopefully, screaming our lungs out (to be able to 'breathe' at all). What has this to
do with prayer? We usually, from childhood, pray for 'what we want' and as
we mature, see the need to say "thank you" also and, hopefully to pray for
what 'we need'...as we mature! I have always tried to instill in those closest tome that the prayer we learn that our Savior taught 2000 or so years ago
has a real message in the part that goes: "give us this day our
daily bread"-because if we think about it we understand that this little
thought has wisdom:"..Pray for bread (Life sustenance) and churn your own
'butter' (the love we 'give to each other') and please, LORD, send a smear of
jelly once in a while...(too much just rots the teeth anyway)!" that is my
own "pearl" ....Oh, LORD, make me a 'smear of jelly' in someone's life...AMEN....Linda Karriker
